We’re in the final few days of 2020 and if we’re honest, most of us will not be sorry to see the back of this year. However, if we want next year to be any better, we might need to do what we can to make that happen. There will be elements out of our control and no one really knows what the future holds, but if you want to make life easier in 2021 these tips might help.
Unsubscribe From Emails You Don’t Need
Whenever you buy something online, sign up to read a magazine or join a website you tend to find you’re subscribed to a company newsletter or marketing list. Lots of this content is a good read and something relevant to you, they’re worth keeping. However, we’re all guilty of seeing emails come into our inbox that we don’t want to read and simply deleting them. If you find that all emails from the same company end up in the trash can before they’re even read -unsubscribe.
Our inboxes can be busy places and the last thing we want is them to be cluttered up with emails we have no interest in. It can seem like a hassle to actual unsubscribe, but often it is just the click of a link situated at the end of any email you have received from them. Do a few of these a day and you’ll find that your inbox will be a much nicer place to be in 2020.
Get Your Social Media On Track
Start to think about what you’re going to use social media for in 2020. Much like unsubscribing from emails, you can make life easier in 2021 but leaving irrelevant groups and unfollowing pages on Facebook. If you want to ensure that you see the type of content you want on your newsfeed, follow accounts and interact with them – algorithms designed by social media companies will then show these accounts to you much more often.
Give some thought to what your company social media presence is going to look like in 2021 too. It is worth looking into a social media calendar for next year, so you can start to plan relevant content for key dates throughout the year. You can even schedule some of January’s posts now, get ahead of the game and make life much less stressful next year.
Reach Out For Help
Why not see what help is out there to help your business grow? Of course, I’m biased and think that a virtual assistant is a great way to get organised and make life easy. However, there are also lots of Facebook networking groups, virtual events and even books that can help. Do some research to see what is out there – you might even find some relevant people to follow on social media who can motivate and inspire you throughout the year.
